Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Leo! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia fails with the takedown. Leo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Garcia swats him away and circles back towards the center. Left hook, right uppercut from Leo. Leo throws a nice looking combination but Garcia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Garcia shoots in but Leo avoids the takedown attempt easily. Robert Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Garcia paws at him with a jab and circles away. Garcia closes the distance and clinches up with Leo, looking for a takedown. Garcia pushes Leo against the cage but Leo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Leo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bobby Leo. Garcia keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leo tries to avoid it but Garcia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leo to the ground. Leo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Leo has closed the distance and engaged Garcia in a clinch.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Garcia. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Leo misses with an elbow over the top. Garcia successfully pulls guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leo moves into the clinch. The crowd cheers as Leo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Garcia doesn't seem phased though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Leo throws a one two combo.

And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Leo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Leo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
