Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zan Ziuao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger GUIDO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zan Ziuao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger GUIDO!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziuao fails with a takedown attempt.
Ziuao tries to score a power double leg takedown but GUIDO sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ziuao somewhat.
GUIDO clinches up with Ziuao and pushes him back against the cage.
GUIDO jumps guard.
Ziuao trying to control the position from guard on top but GUIDO is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ziuao stays in close to GUIDO's body and controls the position.
Ziuao works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ziuao seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but GUIDO does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
GUIDO trying to hold on to Ziuao's head to control him but Ziuao postures up.

Ziuao wants to lay and pray for a moment but GUIDO keeps working.
GUIDO is looking to control Ziuao's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can GUIDO avoid being mounted?
GUIDO is trying to get back to full guard.
Ziuao thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing GUIDO to regain full guard.
Ziuao wants to control from the top but GUIDO keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ziuaois looking to pass into half guard but GUIDO pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now GUIDO is in guard.
GUIDO tries to free his leg and advance position but Ziuao is retaining full guard.
GUIDO has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ziuao is proving hard to escape from.
Ziuao wants to sweep but no luck.
GUIDO postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ziuao is really struggling to control GUIDO but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Ziuao has his foot on GUIDO's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. GUIDO works his way back into a safe position though.
GUIDO content to stall in guard here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roger GUIDO wasn't active enough on the ground.
GUIDO shoots and misses
and Ziuao counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for GUIDO!
Ziuao trying to control but he's not successful this time.
GUIDO blocking the ground and pound.

GUIDO wants to control but Ziuao is having none of it.
GUIDO working to try and regain half guard.
GUIDO avoids a strike by Ziuao and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Ziuao's guard! Fantastic escape!
Ziuao working for a triangle but GUIDO defends it easily.
Ziuao looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
GUIDO gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ziuao counters with a single leg into guard. GUIDO didn't expect that.
GUIDO looking to control.
Ziuao trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
GUIDO wants to stand up but Ziuao is controlling him.
GUIDO throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ziuao escapes and throws GUIDO's legs to the side, diving into side control!
GUIDO gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
GUIDO is breathing heavily.
Ziuao scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Ziuao with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
GUIDO is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ziuao wants to finish this one by submission but GUIDO is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ziuao.

Ziuao is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. GUIDO is aware though and is defending well.
Ziuao pushes a forearm under GUIDO's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, GUIDO is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Zan Ziuao!
