PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Malfoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flava Flave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flave has chosen Momma said Tap you Out as his entrance music. Flava Flave has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duke Malfoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flava Flave!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malfoy misses with a hook. Flave ducked under it nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Malfoy.
Malfoy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Flave momentarily.
Flave slips a jab and a cross from Malfoy.

Flave displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Malfoy throws out the jab.
Flave waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Malfoy.
Malfoy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Flave has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Malfoy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Flave, as that shot connected.
Malfoy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Malfoy.
Flave misses with a hook. Malfoy ducked under it nicely.

Malfoy blocks a jab.
Flave fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Malfoy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Malfoy throws a push kick but Flave slaps the foot to one side.
Flave throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Malfoy misses with a head kick.
Malfoy moves in looking to clinch but Flave pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Malfoy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Duke Malfoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flave looks to land a left hand but Malfoy moved out of range nicely.

Malfoy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Malfoy throws a wild body kick that Flave sees coming a mile off.

Malfoy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Flave lands the left hand.
Flave lands a nice hook to Malfoy's body. Malfoy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Flave throws a big shot that misses.
Malfoy tries to land a front kick but Flave steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Flave pulls Malfoy into guard.

Malfoy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Flave has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Malfoy has managed to get both his arms back between Flave's legs - danger averted.
Flave utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Flave is looking for a triangle but Malfoy pushes his legs off easily.

Malfoy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Malfoy is pushing down on Flave's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flave is fighting to maintain full guard but Malfoy has managed to sneak the leg through.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Flave looks to land a left hand but Malfoy moved out of range nicely.
Flave ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

A head punch on the inside from Flave fails to land.
Malfoy has had enough of the clinch but Flave keeps him there for the moment.

Flave lands a hook that snaps the head of Malfoy backwards.

Flave breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Malfoy connects with a looping right hand.

Malfoy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice uppercut lands for Flave. That snapped Malfoy's head back.

Flave uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Malfoy.
Flave throws a hook to the side of Malfoy's head but Malfoy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Malfoy tries to close the distance and clinch but Flave swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Malfoy missing with a left hand there. Flave was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Flave moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

letting Flave counter with a right hand.
Malfoy with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Flave to score with a decent uppercut.

A jab from Malfoy finds it's way through Flave's defenses.

Malfoy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Flave swats away the attempt to clinch by Malfoy.

Malfoy throws a leg kick which misses Flave's front leg but catches the back leg as Flave tries to avoid it.

Malfoy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Flave scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Malfoy throws a solid leg kick but Flave takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Malfoy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flave misses with a body shot.

Flave closes the distance and clinches.
Flave fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Flave jumps guard but Malfoy stands there with Flave around his waist. Flave gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Malfoy is trying to maintain a safe position but Flave gets an underhook and turns Malfoy into the cage.

Flave tightens his grip and picks Malfoy up, before dumping him to the ground. Malfoy manages to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Flave drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Flave as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Malfoy screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Flave! Nice submission victory there!
