Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Files (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Files! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Files showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Griffin.
A jab from Files finds it's way through Griffin's defenses. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Files, as that shot connected.
Griffin throws a right and a left that Files avoids nicely. Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Files throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Files misses the shot to the body. Griffin lands the left hand. Griffin throws a shot from downtown. Files moves away and avoids it. Files closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Griffin did well to prevent Files getting side control. Files gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Files decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Files is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Files wanted to stand there but Griffin had control of the position. Griffin is trying to hold Files in close to prevent damage but Files has managed to pass into half guard.

Files wants to stand but Griffin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Griffin is looking to improve his position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Griffin is doing well to control the position and prevent Files from advancing to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Files works his way into full mount! Files looking to secure an arm triangle but Griffin defends it well. Files is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Griffin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin takes a shot right to the bread basket. Files shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Griffin pinned against the cage. Griffin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Files changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Griffin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Griffin is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Files has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Griffin scores with a body shot.
Files misses with a jab, cross combination.
Files shoots in for a takedown but Griffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Griffin slips a jab from Files. Griffin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Files counters with a nice double leg into guard. Files wants to get up but he can't break Griffin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Files works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Files slows the pace down in half guard. Files seems to be working for a kimura but Griffin defends the submission attempt. Griffin is looking for a sweep. Files is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peter Files showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Brian Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Files. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Griffin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Peter Files seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Files looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Files drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Files jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Files takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Files slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin holding on. Griffin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Files off and has taken his back! Oooh a big shot gets through from Griffin. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Griffin's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin lands a shot to the head. Files is trying to stand back up. Files manages to reverse the position and now he's in Griffin's guard. Nice work there by Files.
Files gets to his feet. Griffin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Brian Griffin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Files missing with a left hand there. Griffin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Files shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Griffin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Files on the ground. Files trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom. Files looking to pass the guard. Files trying to stand up but can't free himself from Griffin's guard. Peter Files is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Files stands and steps away. Griffin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
