The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown checks a low kick from Cena.
Brown looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cena blocks Brown's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Cena tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Cena goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brown turns into him and now he's in Cena's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cena can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Branislav Cena.

Brown gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cena postures up and lands a big shot to Brown's brow.

Cena controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cena wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Cena lands a couple of digs.
Brown has momentary wrist control but Cena slips an elbow through the middle.

Cena postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cena, into his guard.
Cena looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brown is one step ahead there.
Cena has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage.

Cena tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Cena bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brown is trying to escape the position but Cena is controlling the position.

Cena is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brown sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cena closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Cena pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cena in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Brown lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cena tries to lock up and control but Brown gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cena is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cena really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cena tries to hold on but Brown postures up.

Brown working over Cena with some ground and pound. Cena looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cena wants to get back to his feet.
Brown looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Cena controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Cena is trying to maintain the position but Brown is very close to passing his half guard.

A close second round but Branislav Cena will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Cena counters with a big head kick but Brown shrugs it off.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cena controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Brown is looking to stand up but Cena isn't so interested in that idea.

Cena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cena advances to half guard.
Brown slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cena passes Brown's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cena stalling away here and it's allowed Brown to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cena is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Branislav Cena has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cena must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
