The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Melanson instigates a clinch.
Melanson goes for a takedown attempt but Mckenny pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mckenny closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Melanson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Melanson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A lull in the action here.
Melanson tries to buck Mckenny off but Mckenny is having none of it.
Melanson is trying to get back to his feet.
Melanson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mckenny is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Mckenny tries to control but Melanson wriggling away.
Mckenny tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Melanson tries to reverse the position but Mckenny maintains control.

Melanson wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Mckenny has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Melanson taps furiously! This one is all over!
