Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur McDermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDermott is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Village People - YMCA. Arthur McDermott acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Lytle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur McDermott! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lytle swinging wildly here.
Lytle moves forwards but McDermott connects with a nice, crisp jab. Lytle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McDermott manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lytle with a flurry of punches that miss. Lytle prevents McDermott from getting back to his feet. McDermott not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lytle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McDermott works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McDermott avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McDermott keeping full guard, as Lytle tries to pass. McDermott tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lytle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lytle is looking to work some ground and pound but McDermott has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McDermott holds on and takes a little breather. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Lytle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lytle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lytle got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDermott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lytle has managed to get both his arms back between McDermott's legs - danger averted. McDermott keeping full guard, as Lytle tries to pass. McDermott lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lytle! McDermott wants to control the pace but Lytle is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McDermott throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. McDermott tries to control but Lytle wriggling away. McDermott swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lytle is now in McDermott's guard. A big mistake from McDermott there, giving up the dominant position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lytle throwing strikes from guard but McDermott blocks nicely. McDermott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lytle throws a strike but McDermott rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McDermott wants to control from the top but Lytle keeps moving. McDermott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lytle swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McDermott not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Arthur McDermott will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
McDermott swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McDermott misses with a few strikes there.
Lytle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lytle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Lytle fails with the takedown and McDermott counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Lytle!
Lytle is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McDermott slows the pace down in half guard. Lytle is not content to let McDermott control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDermott is just content to waste time from the top position. Lytle takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. McDermott controls from within his opponent's guard. McDermott looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. McDermott wants to control from the top but Lytle keeps moving.
Arthur McDermott has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lytle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McDermott counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McDermott misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arthur McDermott seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lytle fails with the takedown and McDermott counters with a beautiful punch that sends Lytle to the canvas! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Lytle. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDermott passes Lytle's left leg - he's now in half guard. McDermott wants to take a breather but Lytle is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDermott is controlling the pace.
Lytle is not content to let McDermott control the position. McDermott seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McDermott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lytle's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDermott is stalling here. Lytle is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McDermott seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lytle has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDermott tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lytle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lytle working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arthur McDermott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Lytle tries for a takedown but McDermott circles away easily enabling McDermott to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Eric Lytle has been cut. McDermott cracks Lytle with an uppercut from hell and Lytle crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of McDermott's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McDermott postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. McDermott thows a big elbow that misses. McDermott wants to control from the top but Lytle keeps moving. McDermott is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Lytle being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDermott stands and steps away. Lytle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. McDermott has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lytle misses with a double jab
and McDermott counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lytle misses with a low kick. Lytle swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McDermott counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDermott drops Lytle with a huge uppercut! Lytle drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. McDermott is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
