Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JeanGuy Rubberboot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rubberboot might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Public Enemy- Can't Do Nuttin For You Man. Jones has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JeanGuy Rubberboot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tom Jones! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubberboot throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Rubberboot pushes him off. Jones displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Rubberboot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Rubberboot misses. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones lands with a good body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rubberboot defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Rubberboot counters with an inside leg kick. Jones avoids the head kick by Rubberboot.

Rubberboot wants to land a leg kick but Jones is out of range. Rubberboot blocks a jab. Rubberboot slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rubberboot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubberboot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rubberboot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones. Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into Rubberboot's guard. Jones passes Rubberboot's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones throwing shots but Rubberboot is blocking nicely. Rubberboot tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Rubberboot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rubberboot wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Rubberboot wants to get back to full guard. Jones misses with a head shot. Rubberboot uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Rubberboot is working from the bottom. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rubberboot keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rubberboot is keeping the position for now. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones pushing down on Rubberboot's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones tries to pass to full mount but Rubberboot defends it. Rubberboot wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Rubberboot is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jones seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Rubberboot is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones sitting and controlling from the half guard. Rubberboot wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rubberboot keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones throws a combination that misses and Rubberboot makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rubberboot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rubberboot throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Rubberboot goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jones rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rubberboot's guard! Nice work there by Jones! Jones trying to control but Rubberboot is working from the bottom. Jones throws and elbow that misses. Rubberboot uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Rubberboot! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rubberboot showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Rubberboot is proving a slippery customer.

Rubberboot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones trying to control but Rubberboot is working from the bottom. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rubberboot controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself. Jones working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rubberboot's head. Rubberboot seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Rubberboot working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rubberboot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rubberboot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rubberboot not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones wants to control from the top but Rubberboot keeps moving. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Tom Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jones lands a head kick!

Jones tries to clinch but Rubberboot moves away and Rubberboot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rubberboot sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rubberboot counters with a leg kick. Rubberboot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tom Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A bone on bone clash there as Rubberboot blocks the leg kick.
Rubberboot tries to score with a low kick but Jones moves his leg out of the way. Rubberboot avoids the head kick by Jones.
Rubberboot scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Rubberboot feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Rubberboot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rubberboot trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rubberboot puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Rubberboot is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rubberboot to get the leverage. Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rubberboot is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to roll over but Rubberboot keeps him under control. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rubberboot is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rubberboot wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Rubberboot trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of JeanGuy Rubberboot. Rubberboot misses with a double jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jones clinches but Rubberboot breaks the clinch and Rubberboot counters with an inside leg kick. Jones fails with the takedown so Rubberboot counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rubberboot trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones controls Rubberboot momentarily but Rubberboot frees himself. Rubberboot throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JeanGuy Rubberboot dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

A solid body kick from Rubberboot. Rubberboot scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jones missing with a left hand there. Rubberboot was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A nice combination there by Rubberboot.
Rubberboot displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Rubberboot throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rubberboot lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily. Rubberboot lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones throws a head kick that misses. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rubberboot counters with a head kick. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jones misses with a combination
and Rubberboot counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. Rubberboot misses with a two punch combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rubberboot lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jones at a distance.

Jones throws a looping overhand right but Rubberboot ducks down to avoid it. Jones throws a head kick but Rubberboot moves out of range.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Rubberboot counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that. Rubberboot decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jones to his feet. Rubberboot lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A slapping leg kick lands for Rubberboot.
Rubberboot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rubberboot is landing with some decent strikes but Jones is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rubberboot is working for a guillotine from mount but Jones frees his head quite easily.
Rubberboot looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to get to half guard. Rubberboot wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely. Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rubberboot tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubberboot thowing shots but they're missing. Rubberboot trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rubberboot tries to control but Jones wriggling away. Rubberboot looking to control and managing it successfully. Rubberboot wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! JeanGuy Rubberboot showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rubberboot has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
