PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kyle soliven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). soliven comes into a darkened arena with his song building. waiting for the end kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Malapitan is looking to clinch but soliven is avoiding it.
Malapitan tries to close the distance and clinch but soliven swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

soliven closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Malapitan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Malapitan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. soliven can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Malapitan is landing with some decent strikes but soliven is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Malapitan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and soliven is able to avoid easily.
A big left from Malapitan misses.
Malapitan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
soliven avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

soliven escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Malapitan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
