The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena shoots in but Manuel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Manuel circles away from the clinch attempt.
A punch combination from Manuel misses.
Cena moves in looking to clinch but Manuel pushes him off.
Manuel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cena.
Cena doesn't manage to clinch there - Manuel circles away.
Manuel with a lazy takedown attempt
and Cena holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cena pulls guard successfully.
Cena wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Manuel wants to control from the top but Cena keeps moving.
