Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keith Marxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keith Marxx is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marxx fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fletcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marxx as he jumps to the side.
Fletcher swinging wilding here.
Marxx tries for a takedown but Fletcher circles away easily
and Fletcher counters with a takedown into side control.
Marxx being controlled for a moment.
Marxx tries to buck Fletcher off but Fletcher is having none of it.
Fletcher thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ground and pound from Fletcher seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Fletcher looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fletcher escapes and gets back to his feet.
Marxx avoids the head kick by Fletcher.
Marxx gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fletcher counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keith Marxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fletcher stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Marxx to get to his feet.
Marxx feints and as Fletcher raises his hands in defense, Marxx changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Marxx is pushing down on Fletcher's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fletcher is fighting to maintain full guard but Marxx has managed to sneak the leg through.
Marxx winds up and cracks Fletcher with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fletcher wants to control but Marxx is keeping busy.
Fletcher has a hand on Marxx's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Marxx takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Grant Fletcher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Marxx tries to pull guard but Fletcher holds him up against the cage and eventually Marxx drops back down to his feet.

Marxx tries to lock up and control but Fletcher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fletcher is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Marxx can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fletcher cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Marxx looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Marxx is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fletcher gets his way!
Fletcher lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Marxx hold on?!

Marxx is trying to get back to his feet but Fletcher has full control of the position and if anything, Marxx has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Fletcher doesn't have the hooks in and Marxx manages to turn into his guard.
Marxx passes Fletcher's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Marxx stands up out of the half guard.
Marxx gets caught flat footed, as Fletcher shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fletcher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Fletcher seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fletcher is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well Fletcher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
