Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Barreto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kjell Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pipes & Drums 1st Battalion Scots Guards. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Barreto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kjell Dillon! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barreto misses with a leg kick. A leg kick checked by Dillon. Barreto misses with a body kick. Barreto waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dillon. Barreto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Barreto on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Barreto takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Barreto thows a leg kick but Dillon checks it and Dillon counters with a nice uppercut. Dillon throws a half hearted mid kick. Barreto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Barreto moves away from the strike by Dillon. Dillon jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barreto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. This has been an exciting period of action! Dillon throws a nice inside leg kick. Barreto is breathing heavily. Dillon connects with an inside leg kick. Dillon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barreto's guard. Dillon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dillon drops back looking for a leg! Barreto is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barreto manages to kick Dillon off! Dillon jumps back into Barreto's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillon controls from within his opponent's guard. Dillon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barreto swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barreto on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barreto tries to get out of the position. Dillon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kjell Dillon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Dillon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Jose Barreto has been cut. Barreto throws a head kick but Dillon moves out of range.
Barreto wants to clinch and Dillon counters with an inside leg kick. An inside leg kick lands from Dillon. Dillon scores with a jab to the body. Dillon cracks Barreto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dillon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Barreto has hold of Dillon's hands but Dillon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dillon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Barreto's head. Dillon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Barreto is not content to let Dillon control the position. Dillon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barreto is just riding it out for now. Dillon eventually gives up the hold. Dillon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Barreto has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dillon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dillon not landing any meaningful shots this time. Dillon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A solid leg kick lands there for Dillon.
Dillon looks for the body kick but Barreto saw that one coming. Barreto connects with a body shot. Dillon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dillon catches Barreto with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Barreto throws a leg kick and Dillon counters with a shoot takedown. Barreto fights it but they end up in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dillon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barreto works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dillon stopping the sweep attempt from Barreto. Dillon throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Dillon passes easily into side control. Nice work. Dillon passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Barreto! Dillon lands a nice shot to the head. Barreto is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dillon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Barreto can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillon throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Barreto wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Dillon.
Dillon working away from the top, dropping strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dillon lands a nice shot to the head. Dillon content just to control the position here. Dillon wants to control the pace but Barreto is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillon jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Barreto manages to avoid the submission attempt. Dillon is putting a hurting on Barreto here, landing some big shots from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dillon is trying to get an arm triangle but Barreto is defending well. Dillon working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dillon scores with a couple of short elbows. Kjell Dillon has got the better of the ground game so far. Dillon looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Barreto is avoiding damage well.
Dillon is looking to take a break and control but Barreto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Barreto is trying to buck Dillon off. Dillon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The referee asks Dillon politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dillon prefers to stall for the moment though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barreto takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barreto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dillon. Dillon looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dillon lands with a punch from half guard. Barreto pushes Dillon off looking to stand but Dillon dives back in and keeps control.
Dillon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Barreto's head. Dillon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barreto knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Dillon prevents Barreto from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dillon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Barreto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dillon on the ground. Barreto regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dillon. Dillon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dillon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barreto is keeping the position for now. Dillon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dillon throwing strikes from guard but Barreto blocks nicely. Dillon tries to free his leg and advance position but Barreto is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillon wants to control from the top but Barreto keeps moving. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Barreto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dillon can pounce on him.
Barreto shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jose Barreto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barreto takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dillon connects with a leg kick. Barreto looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Jose Barreto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dillon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dillon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dillon scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Dillon scores with a decent looking hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dillon cracks Barreto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dillon.
Dillon lands a jab to the nose. Dillon cracks Barreto with an uppercut from hell and Barreto crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Dillon's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Barreto is rocked! Dillon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dillon is stalling in the full guard. Dillon is looking to work some ground and pound but Barreto has wrist control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dillon content to stall in guard here. Dillon trying to control the position from guard on top but Barreto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Kjell Dillon has been cut. Barreto closes the distance looking to clinch and Dillon counters with a thumping low kick. Barreto looks to clinch and Dillon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barreto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A chopping leg kick lands by Dillon. Dillon connects with a leg kick. Barreto looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Dillon clobbers Barreto with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Dillon throws out a powerful jab. Dillon blocks a head kick by Barreto.
Barreto takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Barreto thows a leg kick but Dillon checks it and Dillon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barreto won't be happy with that. Dillon landing a few strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dillon working the ground and pound but Barreto is defending the strikes. Dillon tries to score with some ground and pound. Barreto controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Dillon taking a breather here. Dillon advances to mount. Dillon with a couple of short strikes. Barreto is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Dillon locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Barreto is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kjell Dillon! Kjell Dillon retains his heavyweight title!
