Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between mr brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hellwig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think brown might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to yes. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
brown connects with a right hand. Hellwig shakes it off.
brown jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Good shot there by brown.
Hellwig keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hellwig tries for a takedown but brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
brown moves out of range as Hellwig throws a body kick.
Hellwig fails with the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hellwig is defended easily by brown.
mr brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Hellwig.
brown throws a series of punches but Hellwig moves out of range.

brown connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A left lands for brown.
Hellwig scores with a takedown into brown's guard.
Hellwig wants to stand but brown has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hellwig is aware though and is defending well.
Hellwig is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! brown is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! brown has escaped and now he's on top!

Hellwig is looking to stand up but brown isn't so interested in that idea.
brown advances position into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hellwig is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
brown tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
brown grinds an elbow into Hellwig's temple.
Hellwig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
brown works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Hellwig is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
brown wants to control but Hellwig is keeping him busy.

Hellwig is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, brown asserts his dominance and retains side control.
brown cracks Hellwig with a big right hand but Hellwig just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
brown scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hellwig to see if he's OK.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hellwig can do anything to dispel that myth.
brown cracks Hellwig with a big elbow.
Hellwig is still in real trouble! Can brown finish him?
Hellwig is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

brown thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hellwig seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
brown in side control lands a decent elbow.
brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

brown is looking to take a break and control but Hellwig is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hellwig wants to get back to his feet.
Hellwig has one foot on brown's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
brown dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
brown lands a jab-cross combination.
mr brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
brown lands a nice hook to Hellwig's body. Hellwig takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A combination from brown does no damage.
brown moves into range and connects with a jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hellwig looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
brown fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
brown blocks a head kick by Hellwig.

Hellwig tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
brown lands with a nice combination. Hellwig backs away looking to recover.

Hellwig closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hellwig stuffs the takedown attempt from brown. brown gets slowly back to his feet.
brown misses with a two punch combination.
Hellwig motions for brown to come forward. Hellwig throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

brown scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
brown throws a combination. Hellwig tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
brown avoids the head kick by Hellwig.
Hellwig tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.
brown connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
brown circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hellwig to the canvas! Hellwig doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - brown keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
