Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yonaz Obsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obsen comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obsen misses with a wild body shot.
Bacon throws a right and a left that Obsen avoids nicely.
Bacon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Obsen.
Bacon lands a slapping body shot.
Obsen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bacon defends it nicely.
Bacon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Obsen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bacon as he jumps to the side.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Obsen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bacon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Obsen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Obsen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Obsen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bacon dives on top into guard.
Bacon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Obsen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bacon defends well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bacon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
