5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piak Drake! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drake throws a head kick that misses. Drake throws a head kick that misses. Garcia avoids the head kick by Drake.

Drake looks gassed! Drake throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Drake throws a sloppy head kick and Garcia moves out of range easily. Garcia feints and as Drake raises his hands in defense, Garcia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Drake not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Drake not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia stays in close to Drake's body and controls the position. Garcia stopping the sweep attempt from Drake. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia looking to pass the guard. Garcia could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Garcia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Drake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garcia wants to control from the top but Drake keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Garcia pushes down on Drake's leg and manages to get into half guard. Garcia looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Garcia wants to take a breather but Drake is having none of it. Garcia throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drake is trying to stand up here but Garcia is controlling him well. Drake won't allow Garcia to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garcia wants to work for an arm triangle but Drake is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Garcia passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Drake! Drake tries to hold on but Garcia postures up. Drake tries to get back to half guard but can't. Garcia throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Garcia prevents Drake from getting the reversal. Drake wants to hold on but Garcia pushes him away. Garcia with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Drake manages to avoid the submission attempt. Drake is looking to reverse the position. Garcia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Drake knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Drake tries to get back to half guard but can't. Drake is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Garcia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Drake, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drake is trying to control Garcia's posture but Garcia avoids it. Drake tries to improve position but can't. Drake wants to control but Garcia postures up. Garcia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Garcia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garcia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Drake tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drake throws a head kick that misses. Piak Drake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Garcia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Drake wants to improve his position but Garcia is controlling well.

Garcia is thwarting Drake's attempts to control the position. Garcia is looking for a kimura but Drake is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage. Garcia wants to free his trapped foot but Drake is holding on for dear life with his legs. Drake desperately trying to maintain half guard. Drake wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Piak Drake. A head kick misses from Drake. Drake throws a head kick but Garcia moves out of range.
Garcia closes the distance and clinches up with Drake, looking for a takedown. Garcia pushes Drake against the cage but Drake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Drake throws a head kick but Garcia moves out of range.

Drake throws a head kick that misses. Garcia fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Drake sprawls well initially but Garcia persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Drake is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Garcia is working for a kimura but Drake is defending it quite comfortably.
Garcia seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Drake is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
