Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Caldwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruki Pushki!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Caldwin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pushki swats away the attempt to clinch by Caldwin.

Pushki is looking to take a break and control but Caldwin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pushki decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Caldwin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pushki shoots in for a double leg but Caldwin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Caldwin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pushki. Pushki circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Caldwin wants to clinch up but Pushki keeps it at a distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pushki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pushki is landing with some decent strikes but Caldwin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Pushki swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Caldwin is now in Pushki's guard. A big mistake from Pushki there, giving up the dominant position!

Pushki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pushki is looking to take a break and control but Caldwin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Caldwin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pushki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caldwin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
