Freire shoots in for a takedown but Bryan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bryan is trying to trip Freire. He has hold of a leg but Freire is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bryan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bryan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Bryan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Freire throws a right and a left that Bryan avoids nicely.
Bryan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Freire's guard.
Freire wants to sweep but no luck.

Bryan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bryan showed some decent athleticism there.

Freire doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bryan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Freire pushes Bryan off looking to stand but Bryan dives back in and keeps control.
Freire trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Bryan works his way into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Freire is trying to get back to half guard.
Bryan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Freire will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Freire is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bryan asserts his dominance and retains side control.
William Jennings Bryan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Bryan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
