Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Crier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crier comes to the cage accompanied by Sparks the Rescue - Getting Clean In The Dirty South. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Crier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seth Strange! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strange swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Strange throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crier. Crier misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Crier misses with a straight left. Crier keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Strange misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crier.
Strange misses with an uppercut. Strange misses with an uppercut. Strange throws a hook to the side of Crier's head but Crier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strange throws a lazy right hand but Crier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Crier throws a jab but it's blocked by Strange. Seth Strange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strange lands a jab-cross combination. Strange works the jab nicely. Strange throws a body punch but Crier moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Strange connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Crier moves out of range as Strange strikes. Strange throws an overhand right that lands on Crier's shoulder, as Crier tries to avoid the shot. Strange scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Strange with a body punch. A glancing blow. Strange misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Crier moves into the clinch. Crier lands a body punch. Crier lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Crier throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Strange wants to control but Crier is keeping busy.
Strange keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Crier not landing any meaningful shots this time. Strange is looking for a sweep. Crier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Crier is trying to control. Strange wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Crier thows a huge punch but Strange dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Strange avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Crier. Crier not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Crier slips a nice elbow through Strange's hands, connecting with Strange's forehead. Strange has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crier is working away from the top position though. Crier is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Crier thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Crier missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Strange avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Crier. Strange is not content to let Crier control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strange is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Crier scores with a couple of nice shots. Strange manages to get to full guard.
Strange wants to stand up but Crier is controlling him. Crier chips away with some ground and pound. Crier is looking to work some ground and pound but Strange has wrist control. Crier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Crier throws a strike but Strange rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Crier dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jab from Strange. Crier takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Crier thows a left - swing and a miss! Strange throws an overhand right that lands on Crier's shoulder, as Crier tries to avoid the shot. Crier takes a swing at Strange's ribcage but misses. Strange connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Strange throws an overhand right that lands on Crier's shoulder, as Crier tries to avoid the shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crier takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Crier lands with a left to the head. Crier will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Strange up against the cage. Crier has a couple of punches blocked by Strange.

Crier is pushing Strange up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Crier can't get the takedown.

Crier tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Strange paws at him with a jab and circles away. Strange throws a looping overhand right but Crier ducks down to avoid it. Good shot there by Strange. Strange takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Strange misses with a combination
and Crier counters with a nice double leg into guard. Strange controls Crier momentarily but Crier frees himself. Strange keeping moving, preventing Crier from controlling successfully. Strange is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Strange working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Crier. Crier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Strange looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Crier is looking to work some ground and pound but Strange has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters circling - Strange throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Crier staying out of range there. Crier takes a body punch but keeps moving. Strange slips a jab from Crier.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Crier throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Strange throws a series of punches but Crier avoids them all with ease. Strange takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Crier on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Crier misses with a straight left. Strange leaves Crier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Strange throws a jab when Crier was well out of range. Strange misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Crier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Crier moves out of range as Strange strikes. Crier moves out of range of the strikes. Strange misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strange misses with an uppercut. Strange connects with a good right hand that stumbles Crier. Crier circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Crier slips under a jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Strange. Crier does a little dance to reset his feet. Crier takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Strange swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Seth Strange has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fighters circling - Strange throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Good exchange - Crier coming out on top. Crier lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Strange misses with a straight left. Strange throws a big shot that misses. Strange throws a one two combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Strange throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crier counters with a nice double leg into guard. Crier is in close to Strange's body, working some short punches and elbows. Strange pulls Crier in close to his closed guard and prevents Crier from doing any damage or advancing position. Crier trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Crier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Crier preventing the sweep. And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Crier showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
