Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Box Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Heandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heandler has chosen Theme as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Box Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Heandler! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.

Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Heandler paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Heandler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jr. Jr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Heandler as he jumps to the side. Heandler shoots in but no luck this time. Heandler works the jab nicely. Heandler pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Heandler scores with a push kick. Heandler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jr sprawls well. Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Heandler gets slowly back to his feet. Heandler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Heandler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Heandler stands up from guard. Let's bang! Heandler looks for the body kick but Jr saw that one coming. Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Heandler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Heandler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jr pinned against the cage. Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Box Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Heandler. Jr misses with a takedown attempt and Heandler counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. A solid body kick from Heandler. Jr fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heandler sprawls well. Heandler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jr gets slowly back to his feet. Jr shoots for a takedown but Heandler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

He's persisting with it as Heandler sprawls well. Heandler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jr gets slowly back to his feet. Jr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Heandler counters with a body kick. Jr is looking to clinch but Heandler is avoiding it.
Heandler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jr avoids it really well and circles away. Heandler looks gassed! Jr shoots for a takedown but Heandler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jr throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Heandler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jr tries to clinch but Heandler moves out of range. Jr darts in trying to clinch
and Heandler counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jr managing to control the position.
Heandler stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jr lands a really nice looking cross but Heandler seems unphased.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Heandler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A nice glancing elbow lands by Jr. Jr missing with knees to the body.
Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heandler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jr. This has been an exciting period of action! Jr shoots and misses
and Heandler counters with a shoot takedown. Jr fights it but they end up in guard. Jr wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jr wants to stand up but Heandler is controlling him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jr is pulling down on Heandler's head to control his posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Heandler dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Heandler checks a leg kick. Jr misses with an attempted mid kick.
Heandler misses with a takedown attempt
and Jr counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Heandler prevents Jr from breaking the clinch. Heandler struggles to land a body shot inside as Jr controls his hands.
Jr tries to pull guard but Heandler won't allow it.
Heandler wants a takedown but no success here.
Jr effectively controlling the action here. Jr is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heandler blocks an elbow strike from Jr.
Jr is working for takedown but Heandler is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Box Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jr jumps guard and drags Heandler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jr looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Heandler is breathing heavily.

Jr is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jr trying to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jr wants to stand and escape but Heandler is having none of it.
Jr is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Heandler is aware though and is defending well.

Jr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Heandler is trying to defend but Jr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jr thows a huge punch but Heandler dodges it nicely.

Jr keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jr is taking a breather. Heandler says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Heandler wants to get back to his feet.
Heandler is refusing to be controlled, as Jr sits in half guard. Jr controlling the pace.
Jr is looking for a kimura but Heandler is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jr to get the leverage. Jr is trying to control. Heandler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jr prevents Heandler from standing back up.

Jr has his takedown stuffed and Heandler counters with a nice body kick. Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Heandler's waist but Heandler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jr off to one side. Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Heandler but Heandler pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Heandler is fending him off so far but Jr persists. Nope, Heandler circles away and we're back to standing. Jr lands with an uppercut that bounces Heandler off the cage and back into rage. Heandler avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Heandler has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Heandler avoids it really well and circles away. Box Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jr misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Heandler.
Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jr gets in close and instigates a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Box Jr dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Heandler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heandler defends it nicely. A slow jab from Heandler misses its intended target. A decent looking body kick lands there for Heandler. Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heandler sprawls well. Heandler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jr gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Box Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jr tries to clinch but Heandler moves out of range. Heandler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Box Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Heandler sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jr fails in his attempt to clinch. Jr will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Heandler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Heandler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jr somewhat. Jr shoots in for a takedown but Heandler shows good takedown defense. A head kick misses from Jr.

Heandler stands up from guard. Let's bang! Heandler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jr.
Jr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Heandler just stands there and leans against the cage. Jr on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Jr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Heandler smiles and moves away.
Heandler shoots in but Jr avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Heandler tries to avoid it but Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Heandler to the ground. Heandler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jr lands a body punch. Jr is struggling to control the position.
Jr jumps into guard, dragging Heandler to the mat.
Jr throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Heandler postures up.
Heandler won't allow Jr to sweep him here. Jr seems keen to control Heandler's posture. Jr is trying to keep Heandler in close.

A head kick by Jr misses and Heandler makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jr really felt that one! Heandler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jr. Jr doesn't manage to clinch there - Heandler circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Heandler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Heandler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
