Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zapp Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredo Parish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brannigan comes to the cage accompanied by Jackyl -- The Lumberjack. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zapp Brannigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fredo Parish! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parish throws a looping overhand right but Brannigan ducks down to avoid it. Brannigan throws a right and a left that both miss. Brannigan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A punch lands to the side of Parish 's head but he takes it in his stride. Brannigan throws a sloppy head kick and Parish moves out of range easily. Parish takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parish. Parish shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brannigan pinned against the cage. Brannigan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Parish swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brannigan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brannigan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Parish scores with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brannigan clobbers Parish with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Brannigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Parish looks to score with a jab to the body but Brannigan is just out of range. Brannigan misses the body punch and Parish counters with a lovely straight right hand! Parish swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parish won't allow Brannigan to get back to his feet. Parish drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brannigan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brannigan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brannigan! Parish manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Brannigan is looking to improve his position.

Parish is looking to work some ground and pound but Brannigan has wrist control. Parish throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brannigan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Parish throws and elbow that misses. Brannigan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Parish's guard. Nice move by Brannigan! Brannigan gets to his feet - Parish follows without any prompting. Parish shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brannigan is trying to defend but Parish finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Brannigan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brannigan is trying to stand up here but Parish is controlling him well. Brannigan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Parish. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Parish working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Brannigan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Parish missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Parish trying to mount his opponent but Brannigan defends it. Fredo Parish dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Brannigan throws the left hand but Parish avoids the punch easily. Parish fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Parish swings for the body but Brannigan moves out of range.
Parish changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brannigan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parish tries to move into full mount but can't pass Brannigan's legs. Parish is trying to get an arm triangle but Brannigan is defending well. Parish tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Parish has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Parish lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brannigan is looking for a sweep. Parish with the ground and pound but Brannigan regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Parish stops Brannigan from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Parish drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brannigan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brannigan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brannigan! Parish looking for a sweep but Brannigan has passed into full mount! Oh no! Brannigan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Parish is looking to escape. Brannigan content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brannigan trying to control but Parish is having none of it. Parish keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Parish bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Parish stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brannigan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parish lands a couple of digs. Parish advances position into side control! Parish throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Brannigan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Parish thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fredo Parish showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brannigan to score with a decent uppercut. Brannigan throws a head kick but Parish moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parish scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Parish uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brannigan has time to react. Parish throws a jab but it's blocked by Brannigan. Brannigan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parish.
Parish cracks a nice hook into Brannigan's ribs. Brannigan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zapp Brannigan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice uppercut there from Parish. Parish throws a series of punches but Brannigan moves out of range. Brannigan throws a leg kick which misses Parish's front leg but catches the back leg as Parish tries to avoid it. Brannigan avoids the body shot from Parish.
Brannigan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Parish counters with a nice body shot. Parish pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Parish fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brannigan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Parish to score an easy takedown into full guard. Parish drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brannigan dives on top into guard. Parish takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parish looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Parish looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Brannigan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Brannigan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Parish wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brannigan wants to control but Parish is keeping him busy. Parish is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parish is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Parish is not content to let Brannigan control the position.

Parish slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Parish looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brannigan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parish has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brannigan has managed to get both his arms back between Parish's legs - danger averted. Brannigan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parish is proving hard to escape from. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parish throws his legs up looking for a submission but Brannigan uses it to pass to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Fredo Parish. Well Parish has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
