Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Veechi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cage's entrance music is Johnny Cage Theme. A fine choice. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinny Veechi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage checks a leg kick.
Vinny Veechi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Veechi throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cage takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Veechi throws a body punch but Cage moves out of range.
Veechi looks to land a left hand but Cage moved out of range nicely.
Veechi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cage tried to score with a low kick but Veechi checks it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cage uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Veechi.
Veechi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cage sprawls well. Cage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Veechi gets slowly back to his feet.

Veechi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cage is aware though and is defending well.
Veechi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
