Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Vasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Henderson's choice of entrance music: Still Unbroken. Will Henderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Vasa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Henderson! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Henderson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vasa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Henderson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vasa is in Henderson's guard. Vasa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Henderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vasa defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henderson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vasa wants to get up but he can't break Henderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Henderson looking for a guillotine here but Vasa defends easily.
Henderson has momentary wrist control but Vasa slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasa working some strikes from top position. Henderson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vasa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Henderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vasa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Vasa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Henderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vasa somewhat. Nick Vasa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vasa scores with a takedown into Henderson's guard.

Vasa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Henderson is looking for a triangle here but Vasa uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Vasa decides to stand back up. Vasa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Henderson to the mat! Henderson manages to get full guard. Vasa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vasa trying to control but Henderson is working from the bottom. Vasa throws a big right hand that misses. Vasa landing with the ground and pound. Henderson has an active guard here but Vasa has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Henderson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Vasa tries to stand and escape but Henderson is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasa pushes Henderson against the cage but Henderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Henderson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vasa. That did some damage! Henderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vasa did well to prevent Henderson getting side control. Henderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

No chance. Vasa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Henderson is looking to advance position but Vasa has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Henderson is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Vasa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Henderson is looking to escape. Henderson tries to lock up and control but Vasa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Henderson can't escape the position.
Vasa looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Vasa working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasa thows a leg kick but Henderson checks it and Henderson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vasa's guard now. Vasa pushes Henderson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Vasa tries to clinch but Henderson moves out of range. Both fighters are breathing heavily. That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson shoots in but no luck this time. Nick Vasa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Henderson. Henderson avoids a kick to the body.
Vasa blocks a low kick nicely. Henderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vasa is fending him off so far but Henderson persists. Nope, Vasa circles away and we're back to standing. Vasa looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Vasa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Vasa wants to control from the top but Henderson keeps moving. Vasa lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Vasa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vasa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Vasa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Henderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Henderson is looking for a sweep. Vasa stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Vasa counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Henderson! Vasa looking to finish Henderson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Henderson! Vasa controlling the position easily from mount. Vasa is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Henderson is surviving well by controlling Vasa's body position as best he can. Vasa prevents Henderson from getting the reversal. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vasa cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
