Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Lehnsherr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Becker comes to the ring accompanied by Pudzian Band - Dawaj na ring. Lehnsherr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: PURE EVIL!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Lehnsherr! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lehnsherr tries to clinch up but Becker circles away and keeps his distance. Becker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Becker takes a body punch but keeps moving. Erik Lehnsherr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lehnsherr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Lehnsherr throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lehnsherr breaks the clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Lehnsherr lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Gary Becker has been cut. Becker is breathing heavily. Lehnsherr fails in his attempt to clinch. Lehnsherr tries to clinch but Becker moves out of range. Becker swats away the attempt to clinch by Lehnsherr. Horrible takedown by Becker or perhaps it was just good defense by Lehnsherr which made him look bad.

Becker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lehnsherr pulls his head out easily. Lehnsherr is taking a breather. Becker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Lehnsherr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Becker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lehnsherr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Becker keeps working. Lehnsherr decides to stand and escape the position. Becker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lehnsherr clinches. A right handed body shot lands from Lehnsherr.

Becker is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lehnsherr pushes Becker back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Lehnsherr is trying to break the clinch but Becker is controlling him. Lehnsherr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lehnsherr stalks Becker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Becker's face. Becker staggers backwards, shaken. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Good standup being displayed there by Lehnsherr as he connects with a hook. Lehnsherr closes the distance and clinches. Lehnsherr prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Becker has Lehnsherr pressed against the ropes, preventing Lehnsherr from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Lehnsherr breaks the clinch.

Lehnsherr closes the distance but Becker moves to the side and Becker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Lehnsherr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lehnsherr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Becker. Erik Lehnsherr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lehnsherr tries to clinch but fails miserably and Becker counters with a takedown into side control. Lehnsherr tries to bench press Becker off him but Becker keeps the position. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Becker has just dragged him back down to the mat. Becker wants to control but Lehnsherr is keeping him busy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lehnsherr can do anything to dispel that myth. Becker throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Lehnsherr struggling a bit here. Becker cracks Lehnsherr with a big right hand but Lehnsherr just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Becker landing strikes. Becker lands a decent elbow from side control. Becker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lehnsherr some visible discomfort.
The ground and pound from Becker seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Lehnsherr is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Becker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lehnsherr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lehnsherr is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Becker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lehnsherr is surviving well by controlling Becker's body position as best he can. Gary Becker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lehnsherr tries to lock up and control but Becker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lehnsherr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Becker is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lehnsherr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lehnsherr shrugs it off. Lehnsherr can't escape the position.
Lehnsherr takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Becker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lehnsherr is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lehnsherr is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Becker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lehnsherr has managed to escape the submission attempt.
