Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eduardo Escobedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Keramin! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keramin has managed to clinch.
Keramin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Keramin jumps guard and drags Escobedo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Keramin is trying to control the position but Escobedo postures up. Escobedo throwing strikes from guard but Keramin blocks nicely. Escobedo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Escobedo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Keramin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Keramin keeping moving, preventing Escobedo from controlling successfully. Escobedo postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keramin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Escobedo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Keramin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Keramin fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Keramin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Andrei Keramin has been cut. Escobedo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Escobedo lands a jab to the head.
Eduardo Escobedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Keramin looks gassed! Escobedo throws a combination. Keramin tries to block but a couple of punches get through. This has been an exciting period of action! Keramin seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Escobedo shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Keramin is backing up but Escobedo catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Keramin covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Escobedo Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eduardo Escobedo!
