Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Rebrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rebrov comes to the cage accompanied by Timati Russian Rap . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladimir Rebrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Wein! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rebrov gets caught flat footed, as Wein shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wein won't allow Rebrov to sweep him here. Wein throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rebrov being controlled here, momentarily. Rebrov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wein. Wein missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rebrov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wein controls the pace.

Wein throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rebrov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wein postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rebrov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wein on the ground. Wein trying to control the position from guard on top but Rebrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rebrov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wein is one step ahead there. Wein throwing strikes from guard but Rebrov blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wein missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wein wants to control from the top but Rebrov keeps moving. Wein thows a big elbow that misses. Rebrov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Wein throwing strikes but missing. Wein postures up and lands a big shot to Rebrov's brow. Wein postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wein looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wein throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wein takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Good exchange - Rebrov coming out on top. Wein misses with the combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rebrov. Wein does a little dance to reset his feet. John Wein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rebrov moves out of range of the body kick from Wein.
Wein slips a straight right by Rebrov. Rebrov throws a jab when Wein was well out of range. Rebrov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wein momentarily.
Wein throws a nice looking combination but Rebrov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rebrov with a nice cross. Vladimir Rebrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rebrov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Rebrov scores with a jab to the head.
A jab from Rebrov does it's job there. Wein walks into a straight right hand from Rebrov. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rebrov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wein takes one to the chin there. Nice cross by Rebrov. Wein looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Rebrov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wein manages to avoid it. Rebrov scores with a nice head shot. Rebrov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Wein is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rebrov. Wein connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Vladimir Rebrov has been cut. Rebrov throws a shot to the body.
Rebrov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wein. Wein circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rebrov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wein.
Wein is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rebrov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wein is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wein takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Rebrov blocks a jab. Wein misses with a straight right. Rebrov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wein. Rebrov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rebrov darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Some wild striking there from Rebrov.
Rebrov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rebrov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Good shot there by Rebrov. Wein slips a jab and a cross from Rebrov.
Vladimir Rebrov is winning the standup battle so far. A punch lands to the side of Wein 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wein has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Wein is rocked! Wein walks into a straight right hand from Rebrov. Wein is still on wobbly legs! Can Rebrov finish him? Rebrov digs a good hook to Wein's body.
Rebrov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Wein seems to have recovered his senses. Wein takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A jab from Rebrov does it's job there. Nice shot by Rebrov.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rebrov drops Wein with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rebrov follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladimir Rebrov!
