Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Mako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mako has chosen Broken Dreams By Shaman's Harvest as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Mako! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mako trying to control but Foster is working from the bottom. Foster trying to keep a closed guard but Mako is proving a slippery customer.
Foster looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mako passes Foster's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mako missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Still in half guard, Mako seems content to control. Mako thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Foster moves into full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mako passes easily into side control. Nice work. Mako wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foster keeps working. Foster tries to get back to half guard but can't. Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position. Mako throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mako working away. Foster tries to improve position but can't. Foster on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Foster is looking for a sweep.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Foster misses with a hook. A left and a right from Foster both land. Nice combination. Foster connects with a body shot. Foster misses with a takedown so Mako counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mako lands a couple of elbows. Mako throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Foster not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Foster is really struggling to control Mako but he's trying to hold on to the position. Foster has his feet on Mako's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mako decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Foster has his hands clasped together around Mako's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Foster looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Foster is breathing heavily. Mako looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Foster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mako wants to work for an arm triangle but Foster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A close round but George Mako will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Foster misses with a takedown attempt and Mako counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Foster tries for a takedown but Mako circles away easily and Mako counters with a two punch combo. Nice uppercut there from Foster. Foster takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mako ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Foster takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mako misses with a double jab
so Foster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Foster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mako is looking to stand up but Foster isn't so interested in that idea. Foster trying to control but Mako is working from the bottom. Mako working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Foster. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mako holds on and takes a little breather. Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Mako is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mako looking to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Foster fails to land with a series of punches.
Mako throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Foster stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Foster falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mako counters with a shoot takedown. Foster fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mako's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Foster wants to sweep but no luck. Foster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Foster keeping moving, preventing Mako from controlling successfully. Foster is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mako is aware though and is defending well. Mako tries to free his leg and advance position but Foster is retaining full guard. Mako drops back looking for a leg! Foster is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Foster manages to kick Mako off! Mako jumps back into Foster's guard. Mako drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Foster dives on top into guard. Foster tries to stand but Mako is controlling from the bottom. Foster passes Mako's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Foster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mako is keeping the position for now. Foster is working hard here to advance position. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mako can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Foster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mako trying to keep a closed guard but Foster is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mako dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Foster misses with a takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Mako misses with a double jab.

Jake Foster is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Foster throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Foster misses with a wild combination.
No luck for Mako with that takedown attempt. Foster scores with a hook to the body. Mako takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jake Foster has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mako lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Foster does a little dance to reset his feet. Foster shoots and misses and Mako counters with a series of strikes. Foster will be more careful next time no doubt. A much better position for Foster. Mako is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. George Mako is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Foster wants to get back to his feet but Mako is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mako has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mako accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Foster is trying to keep Mako in close.

And that's the end of the fight! George Mako comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mako winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
