Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Regueiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Owens might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Disturbed- Inside the Fire. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Owens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julio Regueiro! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Owens scores with a nice right hand.
Owens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Regueiro moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Owens bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Regueiro misses with a jab, cross combination.
Owens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Regueiro shoots for a takedown but Owens saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Regueiro displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Owens lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Owens misses with the combination.
Owens fails to land with a series of punches.
Owens moves into the clinch. Owens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Owens closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Owens manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Regueiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Owens is just out of range. A swing and a miss from Regueiro. Owens gets in close and instigates a clinch. Regueiro tries to throw a body punch but Owens avoids it by throwing Regueiro back against the cage. Regueiro tries to pull guard but Owens won't allow it.
Regueiro fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Roman Owens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Regueiro. Owens lands a nice elbow. Regueiro fails to pull guard.
Owens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Owens tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Owens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Owens!
Regueiro shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Owens slaps away a takedown attempt from Regueiro, before circling back to the center of the mat. Regueiro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Owens counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Regueiro is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Regueiro throws a predictable looking body shot
and Owens counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Regueiro is rocked! Regueiro misses with a takedown and Owens counters with a left and a right... And another left! Regueiro is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roman Owens!
