Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Pasano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Kirby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Pasano! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirby missing with a left hand there. Pasano was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pasano misses the jab. Kirby throws a leg kick that misses. Jon Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kirby dips to his left and cracks Pasano with an uppercut!
It looks like Jon Pasano has been cut. Kirby throws the left hand but Pasano avoids the punch easily. Kirby gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pasano to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kirby is wriggling around but Pasano manages to pass to half guard.
Pasano sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kirby defending well though. Pasano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Pasano throws a strike but Kirby avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Pasano throwing strikes but missing. Pasano throws a strike but Kirby rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kirby trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirby with a flurry of punches that miss. Kirby is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pasano is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pasano has escaped and now he's on top! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kirby holds on and takes a little breather. Pasano postures up in Kirby's guard and throws a big left but Kirby blocks it. Kirby is looking to stand up but Pasano isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pasano working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kirby's head. Kirby has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kirby is looking to stand up but Pasano isn't so interested in that idea. Pasano distracts Kirby with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pasano throws a big right hand that misses. Kirby is trying to keep Pasano in close.
Pasano wants to control from the top but Kirby keeps moving. Pasano postures up in Kirby's guard and throws a big left but Kirby blocks it. Kirby has momentary wrist control but Pasano slips an elbow through the middle. Pasano pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kirby is keeping the position for now. Kirby is adopting a defensive guard. Kirby trying to keep a closed guard but Pasano is proving a slippery customer.
Pasano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirby swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jon Kirby has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Pasano slips a straight right by Kirby. Pasano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kirby. Pasano drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kirby regains half guard. Kirby avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pasano. Kirby scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Pasano manages to mount him!
Pasano has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kirby's face.

Pasano seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pasano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kirby is trying to maintain the position but Pasano is very close to passing his half guard. Kirby on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kirby taking some punishment here, with Pasano in his half guard. Pasano lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kirby tries to kick Pasano off but Pasano keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kirby is breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pasano scoring with strikes to the body and head. Pasano wants to control but Kirby is keeping him busy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pasano is working for a kimura but Kirby is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirby has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pasano clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Pasano is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kirby is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kirby gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kirby gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kirby apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Kirby fails with the takedown and Pasano counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Kirby. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pasano working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pasano missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pasano not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pasano prevents Kirby from improving his position. Pasano thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kirby's head. Kirby regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pasano. Pasano throws a big right hand that misses. Pasano throwing strikes from guard but Kirby blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pasano makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pasano postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kirby is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pasano, into his guard. Kirby in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kirby gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Kirby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pasano manages to avoid it. Pasano rushes Kirby and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kirby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A punch combination from Kirby misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby throws a looping overhand right but Pasano ducks down to avoid it. Pasano ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pasano connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kirby's hands. Pasano avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kirby tries to work over Pasano's front leg with a kick but Pasano checks it. Kirby throws a hook to the side of Pasano's head but Pasano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pasano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kirby. Kirby shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pasano counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pasano. Pasano content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Pasano postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kirby utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pasano postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pasano wants to control from the top but Kirby keeps moving. Kirby is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pasano stands and throws Kirby's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pasano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kirby is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pasano is looking to take a break and control but Kirby is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pasano scores with punches from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee asks Pasano politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pasano prefers to stall for the moment though. Pasano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kirby keeps working. The strikes coming from Pasano are missing the target in this wave of attacks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirby controls Pasano momentarily but Pasano frees himself. Pasano postures up and lands a big shot to Kirby's brow. Pasano won't allow Kirby to sweep him here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pasano thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pasano trying to control but Kirby is working from the bottom.

Pasano looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Pasano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pasano winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
