Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Luis Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castillo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me ft. David Guetta . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Fraser!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Luis Castillo!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo throws a leg kick but Fraser moved away.
Fraser shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Castillo defends it nicely.
Castillo is looking to chop away at Fraser's legs.
Fraser displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Castillo throws out the jab.
Jose Luis Castillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fraser shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Castillo as he avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Castillo. Fraser does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fraser looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Fraser has gone for a leg lock! Castillo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fraser's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castillo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fraser has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Castillo has managed to get both his arms back between Fraser's legs - danger averted.
Castillo wants to get up but he can't break Fraser's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Fraser has his foot on Castillo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Castillo works his way back into a safe position though.

Fraser working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castillo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Castillo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fraser is looking for a triangle here but Castillo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Fraser throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Fraser tries to buck Castillo off but Castillo is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fraser tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Fraser gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Fraser is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Fraser is desperately trying to improve his position but Castillo has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Jose Luis Castillo will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Fraser shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castillo as he jumps to the side.
Castillo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fraser.
Fraser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castillo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Castillo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Castillo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Castillo.

and Castillo counters with a head kick. That will keep Fraser thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Oh Fraser is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Castillo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Fraser seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Castillo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fraser manages to avoid it.

Jose Luis Castillo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Fraser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Castillo throws a hook to the side of Fraser's head but Fraser sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fraser looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Fraser is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Castillo misses with a hook. Fraser ducked under it nicely.

Castillo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fraser stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
