Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derek Richards!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Storm or perhaps it was just good defense by Richards which made him look bad.
Storm shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Richards sprawls well. Richards wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Storm gets slowly back to his feet.
Derek Richards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Storm throws a leg kick but Richards sees it coming and moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Storm.
A slow jab from Richards misses its intended target.
Storm slips under a jab from Richards.
Storm takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Richards displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Storm.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Richards misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richards bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Storm's head.
Richards lands a right hook to the body.
Storm shoots for a double leg takedown but Richards sprawls well. He's pushed Storm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Storm fails with the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Storm.
Richards dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Storm shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Richards napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Storm is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Richards is trying to escape and Storm transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Richards is forced to tap! Nice work there by Storm! Very nice indeed!
