The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sackett pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sackett lands a leg kick that knocks Liddell off balance momentarily. Liddell tries to clinch but Sackett moves out of range. Sackett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sackett dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liddell. That did some damage! Sackett throws a head kick but Liddell moves out of range.
Liddell tries to clinch up. Liddell tries to clinch but Sackett is having none of it. Sackett thumps Liddell with a low kick. Nice uppercut there from Liddell. Liddell looks to land a right hand but Sackett moved out of range. Sackett misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sackett is looking to slow Liddell down with leg kicks. Liddell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sackett at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Liddell misses with a hook. Sackett ducked under it nicely. Some wild striking there from Sackett.
Liddell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sackett looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Sackett fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sackett avoids the body shot from Liddell.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sackett misses with the combination.
Mark Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Liddell. Sackett darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Liddell slips a straight right by Sackett. Sackett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Sackett. Sackett keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Liddell. Sackett ducks under a wild hook from Liddell. Sackett wants to clinch up but Liddell keeps it at a distance. A nice combination there by Sackett.
Sackett feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Liddell's calf. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A head kick from Sackett lands but Liddell takes it in his stride.
It looks like Mark Liddell has been cut. Sackett drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sackett on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Sackett rushes Liddell and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Liddell misses with a punch on the inside.
Liddell tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Sackett wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sackett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Liddell misses with a double jab.
Sackett delivers a nice body kick. Sackett lands a jab-cross combination. Sackett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Liddell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell throws a series of punches but Sackett avoids them all with ease. Liddell throws a hook but Sackett avoids it easily. Sackett moves into the clinch. Sackett is trying to break the clinch but Liddell is controlling him. Sackett is trying to force a seperation but Liddell has the dominant position. A body shot lands from Liddell.
Sackett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Liddell connects with a jab. Sackett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sackett keeps the fight on the outside. Sackett stuns Liddell with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sackett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Liddell looks gassed! Sackett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sackett throws a nice outside leg kick. Sackett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Liddell throws an overhand right that lands on Sackett's shoulder, as Sackett tries to avoid the shot. Sackett moves out of range as Liddell strikes. Mark Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sackett buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sackett uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sackett slips under a jab. Sackett misses with an uppercut. Liddell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sackett on the side of the head. Sackett dips to his left and cracks Liddell with an uppercut! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Liddell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sackett. Sackett dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Liddell. That did some damage! Liddell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Sackett is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Sackett lands with a slapping head kick. Liddell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sackett moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Liddell is rocked! Sackett slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Liddell is still on wobbly legs! Can Sackett finish him? Sackett scores with a shot to the body.
Sackett connects with the punch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sackett lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Liddell crumples to the floor! Sackett milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
