The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie feints and as Dornelles raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Dornelles is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dornelles manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Dornelles's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dornelles working a defensive guard here.
Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dornelles is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

Gracie scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Dornelles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dornelles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dornelles knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dornelles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Dornelles regains half guard.
Dornelles is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dornelles wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy.

Dornelles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gracie is working for a kimura but Dornelles is defending it quite comfortably.

Dornelles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gracie makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dornelles napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dornelles is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gracie is controlling him well.

Dornelles tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Dornelles screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dornelles, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
