The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran stuffs the takedown.
lopez dodges the punch combination from Duran.
lopez shoots in but no luck this time.
lopez shoots for a takedown but Duran saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mike Duran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of luiz lopez.
lopez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Duran throws a nice outside leg kick.
Duran swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
lopez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duran but Duran pushes him off and we're back to square one.
lopez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duran as he avoids it easily.
lopez looks gassed!
lopez fails with a takedown attempt.
Duran misses with a jab, cross combination.
Duran scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like luiz lopez has been cut.
Mike Duran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
lopez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duran rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but lopez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Duran stalks lopez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into lopez's face. lopez staggers backwards, shaken.

Duran lands a left and a right that send lopez crashing to the mat, dazed. Duran thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

That has opened up luiz lopez's cut even more.

Duran lands a big right hand that sends lopez crashing to the mat! Duran stays standing though and waves lopez back to his feet!

lopez is rocked!
Duran lands with a right and another and another! lopez is in big trouble! Duran lands again and this time it's lights out for lopez! A quality knockout there for Duran.
