Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Byson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricky Ricardo!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byson just misses with a punch to the body.
Ricardo throws a series of punches but Byson avoids them all with ease.
Byson throws a jab but it's blocked by Ricardo.
Ricardo forces Byson back against the cage and clinches.
Ricardo is working for takedown but Byson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ricardo jumps guard and drags Byson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Byson wants to control from the top but Ricardo keeps moving.
Ricardo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Byson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ricardo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Byson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ricardo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Byson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A left and a right from Byson both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Ricky Ricardo has been cut.
Byson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ricardo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Byson.
Ricardo slips a jab from Byson.
Ricardo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Byson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Byson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Byson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ricardo circles away quickly and effectively.
Byson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ricardo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Byson throws out a powerful jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ricardo misses with a combination
enabling Byson to counter with a crisp jab.
Ricardo is rocked!
Byson closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Ricardo out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
