The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kisaragi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marcello sprawls well initially but Kisaragi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Marcello moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kisaragi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marcello is keeping the position for now.
Kisaragi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Marcello is pulling down on Kisaragi's head to control his posture.
Kisaragi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marcello swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kisaragi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Marcello wants to stand and escape but Kisaragi is having none of it.
Marcello is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marcello is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kisaragi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marcello swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marcello is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kisaragi is controlling him.
Kisaragi drops back looking for a leg! Marcello is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marcello manages to kick Kisaragi off! Kisaragi jumps back into Marcello's guard.

Marcello controls Kisaragi momentarily but Kisaragi frees himself.

Marcello is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kisaragi is controlling him.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kisaragi stands and throws Marcello's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Marcello tries to bench press Kisaragi off him but Kisaragi keeps the position.
Marcello is trying to buck Kisaragi off.
Kisaragi is trying to get an arm triangle but Marcello is defending well.
Kisaragi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marcello is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kisaragi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Marcello wants to get back to his feet but Kisaragi drags him back down.

Kisaragi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Marcello has escaped the position, nice work there.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Marcello is pushing Kisaragi's head away, looking to escape. Kisaragi manages to hold on to the position though.
Kisaragi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kisaragi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marcello, who protects the arm well.
Kisaragi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kisaragi has hold of Marcello's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Marcello tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kisaragi cranks the arm and Marcello screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Marcello, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
