Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matisan Trezin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matisan Trezin! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miles lunges at Trezin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Trezin's hand. Trezin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Miles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trezin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Miles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trezin trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Trezin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Miles off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Trezin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Trezin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Miles counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trezin is trying to control the position but Miles postures up. Miles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Miles stops Trezin from standing up. Miles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Miles throws a strike but Trezin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trezin trying to control but Miles is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Miles defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Trezin. Desmond Miles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trezin tries for a takedown but Miles circles away easily and Miles counters with a single leg into guard. Trezin didn't expect that. Desmond Miles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matisan Trezin. Miles looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Miles content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Miles wants to control from the top but Trezin keeps moving. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Miles works over Trezin with some ground and pound from guard. Miles pushes down on Trezin's leg and manages to get into half guard. Well, if Miles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Trezin looks gassed! Miles seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Miles works his way into side control. Miles lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Trezin down.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trezin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Trezin pushes Miles away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Miles gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Trezin can't do much from the bottom here. Miles working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Trezin gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miles throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Miles closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miles lands a nice short elbow. Miles trying to control the pace. Trezin is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miles is looking to pass Trezin's guard but actually Trezin recovers to full guard. Trezin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Trezin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Trezin controls Miles momentarily but Miles frees himself. Miles showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Miles trying to control but Trezin is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Miles digs a good body shot into Trezin's ribs. Trezin tries to close the distance and clinch but Miles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Trezin gets caught flat footed, as Miles shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Trezin trying to keep a closed guard but Miles is proving a slippery customer.
Trezin is breathing heavily. Trezin wants to sweep here but Miles controlling him for the moment. Miles lands a couple of digs. Miles landing with the ground and pound. Miles is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Miles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Miles trying to control the position from guard on top but Trezin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trezin wants to stand up but Miles is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles pushing down on Trezin's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Miles wants to control but Trezin is keeping him busy. Miles working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Trezin wants to get back to full guard. Miles takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Trezin has hold of Miles's hands but Miles slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Miles is nestled in close to Trezin, controlling him well. Miles is taking a breather. Trezin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Miles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Trezin for as long as he can get away with. Miles working the head and body with strikes. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Miles connects with a nice short shot to Trezin's temple. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miles lands a nice short elbow. Miles looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Miles is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nice defenses there by Trezin. Miles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Trezin sprawls well initially but Miles persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Trezin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miles. Miles slows the pace down in half guard. Miles slips a nice elbow through Trezin's hands, connecting with Trezin's forehead. Miles seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Miles misses with a head shot. Trezin uses the momentum to regain guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miles trying to control the position from guard on top but Trezin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Trezin keeping moving, preventing Miles from controlling successfully. Trezin being controlled here, momentarily. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Miles shoots in and bounces Trezin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Trezin wants to stand and escape but Miles is having none of it. Desmond Miles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Trezin wriggles free and stands up. Trezin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miles to score an easy takedown into full guard. Trezin keeping moving, preventing Miles from controlling successfully. Trezin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles stays in close to Trezin's body and controls the position. Trezin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Trezin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Miles reaches up and holds on to Trezin to control the position. Miles tries to reverse the position but Trezin maintains control. Trezin tries to control but Miles wriggling away. Trezin avoids the attempt from Miles to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Desmond Miles showed his dominance in that final round. Well Miles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
