Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hanamichi Sakuragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver closes the distance and clinches up with Sakuragi, looking for a takedown. Carver pushes Sakuragi against the cage but Sakuragi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carver tries to keep at a distance but Sakuragi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Carver jumps into guard, dragging Sakuragi to the mat.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sakuragi lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sakuragi connects with a nice short shot to Carver's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sakuragi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carver looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sakuragi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sakuragi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sakuragi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Carver knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Carver doesn't manage to clinch there - Sakuragi circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sakuragi is defended easily by Carver.

Carver is pressed up against the cage. Sakuragi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carver down to the mat. Carver avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carver cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Sakuragi shoots in looking for a takedown. Carver tries to sprawl out of it but Sakuragi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carver shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sakuragi's guard.
