Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manuel Bolivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manuel Bolivar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manuel Bolivar!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolivar tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith throws a solid leg kick but Bolivar takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Smith.
Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Bolivar, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bolivar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bolivar moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Bolivar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bolivar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bolivar takes a step back to recover.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bolivar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bolivar somewhat.

and Bolivar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Smith just misses with a punch to the body.

Bolivar wants to get back to striking at distance but Smith won't allow it.
Smith scores a nice knee to the body.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bolivar throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease.

Bolivar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smith fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Bolivar slips the punch.

and Smith counters with a nice body kick.

Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bolivar, pushing him back against the cage.

and Smith counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bolivar's knee momentarily.

John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bolivar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Bolivar closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bolivar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith tries to clinch there but Bolivar circles away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bolivar lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Smith has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Smith and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Smith throws out a leg kick but Bolivar moves out of range and Smith only half commits.
Smith throws the left hand but Bolivar avoids the punch easily.

John Smith dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bolivar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bolivar gets slowly back to his feet.

Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Manuel Bolivar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Smith leaves Bolivar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bolivar avoids the head kick by Smith.
Smith blocks a head kick by Bolivar.
Bolivar throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Bolivar scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Smith takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bolivar looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well.
Smith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Bolivar fails with a takedown attempt.

Manuel Bolivar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bolivar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
