Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Samarun Por Kvartir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Ernst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samarun Por Kvartir had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Ernst! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Por Kvartir tries to clinch but Ernst is having none of it. Ernst lands with a nice combination. Por Kvartir backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Samarun Por Kvartir has been cut. Por Kvartir tries to close the distance and clinch but Ernst swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Samarun Por Kvartir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Por Kvartir fails with an attempt to clinch.
Por Kvartir closes the distance and pushes Ernst back into the cage. Ernst tries to circle away but Por Kvartir has him pinned against the cage. Por Kvartir tries to land knees in the clinch but Ernst avoids the damage to the body. Por Kvartir pushes off an throws an elbow but Ernst leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Ernst takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Tim Ernst has been cut. Por Kvartir throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ernst blocks an elbow strike. Por Kvartir lands an elbow inside. Ernst tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Por Kvartir smiles and moves away.
Por Kvartir tries to clinch but Ernst is having none of it. Ernst avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Por Kvartir looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ernst tries to keep at a distance but Por Kvartir has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice elbow from Por Kvartir. Nice elbow from Por Kvartir. Ernst blocks an elbow strike. Por Kvartir throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Ernst ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ernst no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Ernst looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ernst is trying to keep Por Kvartir in close.
Ernst is pulling down on Por Kvartir's head to control his posture. Ernst not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ernst is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Por Kvartir looking to sit in guard and control but Ernst gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ernst is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tim Ernst wasn't active enough on the ground. Ernst gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ernst taking a breather. Ernst dodges an elbow strike from Por Kvartir.
Por Kvartir is pressed up against the cage. Ernst has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Por Kvartir down to the mat. Por Kvartir avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ernst closes this distance looking for a takedown but Por Kvartir circles away. Samarun Por Kvartir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Ernst.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Por Kvartir tries to clinch up and Ernst holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Por Kvartir lands an elbow inside. Por Kvartir throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Ernst blocks the elbow strike.
A head punch on the inside from Ernst fails to land. Por Kvartir misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ernst.
Por Kvartir is breathing heavily. Ernst jumps guard but Por Kvartir stands there with Ernst around his waist. Ernst gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Por Kvartir comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Por Kvartir lands a nice elbow. Ernst can't get the takedown.
Por Kvartir looks to throw an elbow but misses. Ernst tries to pull guard but Por Kvartir holds him up against the cage and eventually Ernst drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Por Kvartir lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Ernst goes for a takedown in the clinch but Por Kvartir prevents it.

Ernst takes an elbow to the forehead. Ernst trying to land knees to the body.
Por Kvartir lands a damaging elbow. Ernst trying to control the position but instead, Por Kvartir has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ernst into the cage. Por Kvartir lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Por Kvartir. Por Kvartir lands an elbow just above Ernst 's eye. Ernst wants a takedown.
Ernst is trying to force a seperation but Por Kvartir has the dominant position. Ernst takes an elbow to the forehead. Ernst is pushing Por Kvartir up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Ernst fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Samarun Por Kvartir will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Por Kvartir stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Por Kvartir wants it to stay on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ernst. Por Kvartir slips a straight right by Ernst. Por Kvartir tries to clinch but Ernst moves away and Ernst counters with a single leg into guard. Por Kvartir didn't expect that. Ernst is stalling in the full guard. Por Kvartir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ernst on the ground. Ernst trying to control but Por Kvartir is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Por Kvartir wants to get back to his feet but Ernst is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Por Kvartir can't keep his opponent in guard - Ernst advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ernst not doing much here.
Ernst is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ernst seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Por Kvartir is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
