Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Hole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kova Luu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Hole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kova Luu! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Carlos Hole has been cut. Hole drives through and clinches with Luu against the cage.
Hole breaks the clinch.
Luu lands with a shot to the body. Luu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hole.
Luu's corner calls for a 1-2. Luu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Luu moves out of range of the body kick. Luu is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hole's half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hole is refusing to be controlled, as Luu sits in half guard. Hole wants to control but Luu is keeping busy.
Hole could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Luu connects with a nice short shot to Hole's temple. Hole wants to improve his position but Luu is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Luu wants to free his trapped foot but Hole is holding on for dear life with his legs. Luu stands up out of the half guard. Hole feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Luu's calf.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Luu. Hole keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Luu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hole.

Hole fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Luu, pushing him back against the cage. Luu stops a takedown attempt from Hole.
Hole tries to land knees in the clinch but Luu avoids the damage to the body. Hole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Luu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Luu throws a right hand that Hole ducks under and follows up with a left that Hole also avoids with ease. Hole shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Luu looks gassed! Luu is not content to let Hole control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hole keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Luu tries to get to full guard but Hole has control of the leg. Hole wants to control but Luu is keeping him busy. Hole is looking to advance position but Luu won't allow it. Luu punching from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hole closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hole lands in his opponent's guard. Hole wants to pass the guard but Luu is keeping the position. Luu pulls Hole in close to his closed guard and prevents Hole from doing any damage or advancing position. Luu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Luu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hole kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Luu counters with a stiff right hand. Hole throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hole misses with a body kick. Luu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hole! Luu misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hole bucks up and throws Luu to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Hole falls off balance throwing a combination
and Luu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Luu moves out of range of the body kick. Hole fails in his attempt to clinch. Hole has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hole there as he acknowledges the shot. Carlos Hole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Luu is breathing heavily. Hole is looking to clinch but Luu is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hole has closed the distance and engaged Luu in a clinch.
Hole goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Luu has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hole is trying to keep an underhook but Luu manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hole wants to get back to his feet.

Luu scores with punches from side control. Luu cracks Hole with a big elbow. Luu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Luu remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hole steps back and let's Luu get back to his feet. Hole connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Kova Luu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hole closes the distance looking to clinch and Luu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hole scores with a nice body kick.

Hole tries to close the distance and clinch but Luu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Luu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hole's guard. Luu postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hole pulls Luu in close to prevent any damage. Kova Luu has got the better of the ground game so far. Luu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Luu connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hole some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Luu postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hole wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Luu tries to score with some ground and pound. Hole controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luu working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Hole is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Luu asserts his dominance and retains side control. Hole can't do much from the bottom here.

Carlos Hole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kova Luu. Hole is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Luu is keeping busy. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hole obliges. Luu is pressed up against the cage. Hole has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Luu down to the mat. Luu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hole lands with a right hand. Hole lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

And that's the end of the fight! Kova Luu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Luu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
