Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nate Kronic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Morton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kronic is looking to clinch.
Kronic tries to score with a low kick but Morton moves his leg out of the way.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Morton.
Kronic tries to clinch but Morton is having none of it.
Kronic throws a front kick aimed at Morton's knee but Morton avoids it well.
Kronic throws out a leg kick but Morton moves out of range and Kronic only half commits.
Morton takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kronic lands a nice looking kick to the body. Morton takes a step back to recover.
Morton looks gassed!
Kronic tries a head kick but it misses.
Kronic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Morton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nate Kronic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kronic tries to clinch but Morton is having none of it.
Kronic just misses with a punch to the body.

Morton takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kronic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morton.
Morton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kronic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Morton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kronic but Kronic pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kronic tries to sprawl but Morton drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Morton is trying to work for a kimura but Kronic is defending well.
Kronic tries to kick Morton off but Morton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Morton seems to be looking for submissions.
Morton prevents Kronic from standing back up.

Morton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kronic looks like he's trying to stand up.

Morton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kronic might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morton wants to free his trapped foot but Kronic is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Morton wants to work for an arm triangle but Kronic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morton throwing shots but Kronic is blocking nicely.
Kronic is trying to stand up here but Morton is controlling him well.

Kronic pushes Morton off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nate Kronic dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kronic moves in looking to clinch but Morton pushes him off.

Kronic lands a left and a right that send Morton crashing to the mat, dazed. Kronic thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Morton is rocked!


It looks like Mark Morton has been cut.
Kronic throws a nice inside leg kick.
Morton is still on wobbly legs! Can Kronic finish him?
Kronic lands a nice leg kick that just misses Morton's sensitive parts.
Kronic feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Morton's calf.
Morton seems to have recovered his senses.
A slow jab from Kronic misses its intended target.
Morton checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kronic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kronic fails in his attempt to clinch.
Morton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kronic.
Kronic throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kronic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Morton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kronic pivots, looking for a leg kick but Morton is out of range and Kronic settles back down.
Kronic throws a sloppy head kick and Morton moves out of range easily.

Morton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kronic can pounce on him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kronic misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kronic throws a low kick but it's checked well by Morton.
Kronic misses with a series of wild punches.
Kronic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Morton has a takedown stuffed.
Nate Kronic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Morton.
Kronic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morton circles away quickly and effectively.

Morton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Morton lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morton prevents Kronic from getting back to his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Morton tries to free his leg and advance position but Kronic is retaining full guard.

Morton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kronic manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Morton has Kronic in his guard.

Morton is working an open guard so Kronic takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kronic connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kronic with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Morton's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Morton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kronic can pounce on him.

Morton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kronic sprawls well. Kronic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morton gets slowly back to his feet.
Morton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nate Kronic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Morton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kronic dives on top into guard.

Nate Kronic is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
