PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gary Manard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie McStar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manard comes to the cage accompanied by Motley Crue's - Shout at the Devil. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McStar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McStar somewhat.
McStar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manard manages to avoid it.
McStar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McStar scores with a jab.
McStar misses with a straight left.
Manard doesn't manage to clinch there - McStar circles away.
Manard throws a head kick that misses.

and McStar makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gary Manard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie McStar.

McStar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
McStar cracks Manard with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
McStar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

I would just about give that final round to Robbie McStar.
Well McStar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
