Everett has chosen Dont Monkey With Another Mans Monkey as his entrance music. The key to victory for Mohammed Ali has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ali throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Everett's waist but Everett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ali off to one side.
Ali throws a series of punches but Everett avoids them all with ease.
A left lands for Ali.
Ali dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Everett gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Everett fails in his attempt to clinch.
Everett shoots in for a takedown but Ali shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Everett looks gassed!

Ali looks to land a combination. Everett sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Ohad Everett has been cut.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ohad Everett hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ali fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Everett looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Everett throws the left hand but Ali avoids the punch easily.
Ali shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Everett sprawls well. Everett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ali gets slowly back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Everett takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ali lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ali throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Ali counters with a nice uppercut.
Everett moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Ali scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Everett takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Everett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ali avoids it really well and circles away.
Ali jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ali is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Everett slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ali throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Everett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ohad Everett was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Everett is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ali is trying to maintain the position but Everett is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ali throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
