Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrei Arlovski!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a series of punches but Arlovski avoids them all with ease.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Arlovski misses with a body shot.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva looks to land a combination but Arlovski avoids it well.
Arlovski shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Antonio Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arlovski tries to throw a body punch but Silva avoids it by throwing Arlovski back against the cage.

Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Arlovski avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Arlovski tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Arlovski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Arlovski tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Arlovski drops back down to his feet.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Arlovski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arlovski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Arlovski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fight stays on the outside here - Arlovski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Silva tries to circle away but Arlovski has him pinned against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Arlovski connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Silva to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arlovski has the hooks in. Silva is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Arlovski is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Silva knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Silva for a finish.

Arlovski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Arlovski dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Arlovski's head and hops out.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Arlovski does a little dance to reset his feet.

Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Arlovski pulls his leg out and moves away.

Arlovski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
Silva wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antonio Silva.
I think Arlovski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
