15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frodo Baggins! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baggins tries to close the distance and clinch but Blast swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Baggins darts in trying to clinch enabling Blast to counter with a crisp jab. Baggins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Baggins sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Blast is nestled in close to Baggins, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blast missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Blast will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Blast not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Baggins is looking for a sweep. Blast is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baggins keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Baggins blocking the ground and pound attempt from Blast. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blast connects with a nice short shot to Baggins's temple. Ground and pound from Blast. Frodo Baggins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Baggins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blast gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Baggins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Blast scoring with punches to the head and body. Blast distracts Baggins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Baggins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Baggins. Baggins throwing strikes but Blast bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Baggins throws a big right hand that misses. Blast pulls Baggins in close to his closed guard and prevents Baggins from doing any damage or advancing position. Baggins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tim Blast. Well Blast has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
