Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira connects with a jab.
A head kick misses from Pea.
Pea tries a head kick but it misses.
Ferreira misses with a straight left.
Pea ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferreira moves away.
No joy there for Pea, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pea swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pea moves out of range of the leg kick from Ferreira.
Ferreira avoids a punch combination nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pea. Ferreira does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pea throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ferreira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pea bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ferreira lands a right hook to the body.
Pea shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ferreira napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ferreira is looking to reverse the position.
Pea is putting a hurting on Ferreira here, landing some big shots from side control.

Pea has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ferreira takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Pea wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ferreira, who protects the arm well.

Pea connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ferreira some visible discomfort.
Ferreira gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Pea looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pea wants to pass to mount but Ferreira is defending the position.

Ferreira seems to have recovered his senses.

Pea tries to pass to full mount but Ferreira defends it.

Pea takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pea connects with a nice short shot to Ferreira's temple.
Pea is thwarting Ferreira's attempts to control the position.
Pea thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ferreira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pea is working away from the top position though.
Pea thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ferreira's head.
Pea thows a huge punch but Ferreira dodges it nicely.

Ferreira is in trouble now - Pea has advanced to mount!

Pea breaks from Ferreira's wrist control and lands an elbow.
A big strike lands for Pea! That's really hurt Ferreira and he's turned his back - Pea keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Pea jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Green Pea!
