Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jegue Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Bento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bento is fending him off so far but Kongo persists. Nope, Bento circles away and we're back to standing.
Kongo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kongo shoots for a double leg takedown but Bento sprawls well. He's pushed Kongo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jegue Kongo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bento takes the fight into the clinch.

Kongo wants to control but Bento is having none of it.

Bento has control of Kongo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kongo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kongo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bento's face.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Can Bento hold on?! Kongo is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Kongo is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Bento with him. Bento is trying to defend but Kongo has an arm under the chin now! Bento grimaces and is forced to tap out!
