Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Koji Hisaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Watson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Koji Hisaki has been cut.
Watson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Watson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Hisaki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hisaki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Watson did well to prevent Hisaki getting side control.

Hisaki is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Watson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Watson manages to get to full guard.

Watson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hisaki passes into side control.
Watson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hisaki off and has taken his back!

Hisaki is in a bad position with Watson working for a choke. Hisaki manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Hisaki is looking to work some ground and pound but Watson has wrist control.

Hisaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Watson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hisaki has managed to get both his arms back between Watson's legs - danger averted.
