Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Diffie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Diffie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kai Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson lands a jab.
Diffie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tyson.
Diffie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tyson.
Diffie misses with an uppercut. Tyson saw that one coming.
Tyson moves out of range as Diffie strikes.

Tyson gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Diffie's face as Tyson controls the position.

Tyson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diffie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tyson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Diffie is trying to escape the position but Tyson is controlling the position.
Diffie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Tyson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diffie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson trying to mount his opponent but Diffie defends it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Diffie is not content to let Tyson control the position.

Kai Tyson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Diffie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tyson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Diffie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Diffie moves out of range of the strikes.
Diffie throws a body punch but Tyson moves out of range.
Tyson misses the shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Diffie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Diffie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tyson moves away.
Diffie on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tyson throws a looping overhand right but Diffie ducks down to avoid it.
Tyson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diffie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Diffie.
Tyson avoids the body shot from Diffie.
Joe Diffie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Diffie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's time! Diffie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Tyson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Diffie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Diffie takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Diffie digs a good hook to Tyson's body.
Diffie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diffie throws a shot from downtown. Tyson moves away and avoids it.
Diffie lands with a nice body punch.
Joe Diffie is winning the standup battle so far.
Diffie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kai Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diffie thuds a left hand into Tyson's body.
Diffie takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Diffie is looking to wear down Tyson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Diffie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tyson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Diffie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tyson finds it's way round the side to connect with Diffie's head.
A punch lands to the side of Tyson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Tyson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diffie is looking to control Tyson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diffie avoid being mounted?

Diffie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Tyson is looking to take a break and control but Diffie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Diffie will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Tyson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diffie moves away.

and Tyson counters with a series of strikes. Diffie will be more careful next time no doubt.
Diffie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tyson.
Tyson thows a body shot but no joy.

Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Diffie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyson scores with a decent looking hook.
Diffie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tyson.
Tyson looks to throw the jab but Diffie is out of range.

Tyson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Diffie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tyson is in Diffie's guard.

Tyson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Diffie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diffie ducks under a wild hook from Tyson.

Tyson lands a nice shot to the body.

Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Tyson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Tyson wants to control but Diffie is keeping him busy.

Kai Tyson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tyson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
