Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between rajesh hafzurellah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brent Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hafzurellah throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
hafzurellah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
hafzurellah tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.
hafzurellah swinging wildly here.
Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson manages to pull guard.
hafzurellah trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jackson's guard.
hafzurellah with a flurry of punches that miss.
hafzurellah drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jackson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now hafzurellah has Jackson in his guard.

Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. hafzurellah is keeping the position for now.

hafzurellah wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.
Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and hafzurellah has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between hafzurellah's legs - danger averted.
hafzurellah is breathing heavily.

Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
hafzurellah chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jackson can pounce on him.
hafzurellah misses with a double jab.
Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jackson stands up and beckons hafzurellah to his feet.
Jackson throws a head kick that hafzurellah semi-blocks.
Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard.

Jackson pushing down on hafzurellah's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but hafzurellah does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jackson lands a nice short elbow.
Jackson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for hafzurellah!
Jackson trying to control but hafzurellah is having none of it.
Jackson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in hafzurellah's guard now.

Jackson content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because hafzurellah has locked up a guillotine! hafzurellah's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jackson is holding on here and hafzurellah must be using up a lot of energy. Jackson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! hafzurellah gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
